1 Corinthians 1:18-19 (The Message Of The Cross Is Foolish To Others)

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”

@ ChrisAir, i agree, at a glance it sounds really complicated because how come the message of the cross could be foolishness to others (the unsaved)? But upon careful study of the Bible text, the message is absolutely true. To put it simply -
Those who do not believe the message of salvation would always find it hard to come to terms with Jesus as God coming in the flesh and gave Himself as redemption for our sins. Sad to say, until now a lot of people in the world find this notion foolish and think the Bible is a piece of crap. So there you go, those who are perishing cannot accept the gospel of Christ.

ChrisAir, It's only complicated to those who haven't accepted Jesus Christ yet into their lives. This also shows that you are not yet enlightened. Accept Him as your Lord & personal savior, acknowledge that He is God who came down from heaven and died on the cross for our sins and instantly you will understand clearly the meaning of the verse.
